Chief Finance Officer

Karen became a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) in 2003. In November 2017 she was appointed Chief Finance Officer for Surrey Heartlands CCGs with responsibility for the financial strategy, financial management, financial governance, contracting, performance and information. Her current role is to promote and enable sound financial management and control at all levels of the organisation. 

From April 2013 she held the post of Chief Finance Officer at Guildford and Waverley CCG and in addition was made Deputy Chief Executive Officer in August 2013. Other roles include Chief Finance Officer for NHS Merton CCG and prior to this Deputy Director of Finance for NHS Sutton & Merton. She has held a number of senior roles in London and Greater Manchester over the last 20 years, including NHS Waltham Forest and NHS Manchester working in both Financial and Management Accounting.
