Governing Bodies in Common meeting – 25th March 2020
Due to the current situation relating to coronavirus (Covid-19) and Government advice about social distancing, the Governing Bodies in Common meeting on 25th March will now be taking place virtually via teleconference. Unfortunately this means it is not possible to give members of the public access to the meeting. In addition, because of leadership capacity in managing the current Covid-19 outbreak, the agenda will be short, focused primarily on our ongoing response to the current situation.
Governing Body meetings
From November 2019, East Surrey Governing Body ' meets in common' with Guildford and Waverley, North West Surrey and Surrey Downs Clinical Commissioning Groups ’. This means that the four Governing Body meetings take place at the same time, in the same location, with the same or similar agendas.
Meeting in this way reflects closer working across the CCGs across Surrey Heartlands and helps to align our governance arrangements and streamline decision-making. All four CCGs will have their own Governing Body membership and each CCG will make its own decisions to reflect that they are still four separate statutory organisations. We will rotate the venues for these meetings so we hold them in different locations across the CCG areas and anyone who is interested in hearing about local health issues is very welcome to join us.
Questions: Members of the public are welcome to attend and observe meetings of the Governing Body - which although being held in public are not public meetings. Questions from the public are welcome and should be emailed to the Governance Team in advance of the meeting: email@example.com
Meeting papers are published on our respective websites 5 working days in advance of the meeting.
Governing Body Membership and Register of Interests
The CCG keeps a register of interests for the members of the Governing Body, in order to identify and manage any conflicts of interest that may arise in the course of decision making when undertaking CCG business. These registers are reviewed regularly and updated as necessary.
Governing Body Register of Interests can be accessed from latest Governing Body papers found at the bottom of this page.
Primary Care Commissioning Committee
The CCG has assumed responsibility for aspects of general practice commissioning from NHS England on 1 April 2019. The Primary Care Commissioning Committee (PCCC) is responsible for this delegated responsibility. The Primary Care Commissioning Committee is a committee of the CCG's Governing Body and has been established to make collective decisions on the review, planning and procurement of primary care services in East Surrey. We are committed to the commissioning of high quality, safe and accessible primary care services and are working with general practices across the area to ensure they are all working to deliver this for the people of East Surrey.
From November 2019, the East Surrey PCCC meets 'in common' with Guildford and Waverley, North West Surrey and Surrey Downs Clinical Commissioning Groups. This means that the three Governing Body meetings take place at the same time, in the same location, with the same or similar agendas.
Meetings are open to the public so you are more than welcome to come along and find out more about this area of work. Dates of meetings and associated papers will be available on this website and published 5 working days in advance of each committee meeting.
Questions from the public are welcome and should be emailed to the Governance Team in advance of the meeting.
