Health Education England (HEE) is looking to recruit new lay members

Health Education England (HEE) is looking to recruit new lay members for its national Patient Advisory Forum; an advisory group to HEE’s Board, which supports us to provide high-quality healthcare training and education for the NHS workforce. This group was first established in 2013 and we are now looking to recruit new members as a number have completed their term of office.

Do you live in England and are able to offer eight to ten days per year? Can you bring learning from lived experience as a patient or a carer? Are you able to help us ensure that patients and the public are at the heart of the education, training and workforce planning processes?

Whilst these are not salaried positions, we offer a rate of up to £150 per day, along with out of pocket expenses.

Interviews are planned for the 16th and 18th September in central London.

An application pack and further information is attached and available online. Applications should be in the form of a CV with a covering letter that sets out how your experience would enable you to advocate for service users and the public within the Forum. Applications should be sent to by midnight on 14th August 2019.

Please get in touch with HEE’s PAF Secretariat ( if you have any queries.
